Awkward Kisses: The Most Uncomfortable Celeb Smooches Of The Year

If romantic comedies have taught us anything, it's that kissing is always sexy, never sloppy and best done in the rain.

But oh, how wrong they are. In fact, no one is immune from the occasional awkward kiss -- not even celebrities. We found the most cringe-worthy make-out moments of the year that are so icky, they'll have you reaching for the mouthwash.

• John Travolta and Kelly Preston

  John Travolta planted this awkward smackeroo on wife Kelly Preston at the "Savages" premiere in January.

• Kirk and Anne Douglas

  A homeless shelter is not the most romantic place for a kiss, which probably explains the awkwardness of this smooch between Kirk and Anne Douglas -- they were in the middle of <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,312521,00.html">serving Thanksgiving meals</a> at the Los Angeles Mission.

• Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

  Any kiss between these two is bound to be at least a little awkward because of their significant height difference. But the overly-posed nature of this kiss at the <a href="http://www.starpulse.com/news/Noelle_Talmon/2012/05/01/kardashian_drama_dominates_e_2012_upfr">E! Upfronts in May</a> makes it especially odd.

• Barack and Michelle Obama

  Michelle Obama doesn't look quite ready for President Obama to give her a smooch at the second presidential debate in October.

• Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler
